Let's try this again...

I can speak from experience but to try and keep more than one of these blogs at any one time is bordering on insanity.

I thought that I could create a blog that helped to increase my vocabulary at the same time, but that quickly got old. The I tried a new idea of writing for the sake of writing. Same result. Now, with this blog sitting over my head, I felt that I'd at least better try to do something other than waste space. So, I rid myself of all previous posts to this blog and started again.

I really like the word squidgy. It sounds cool, and it really does not need any explanation. It reminds me of walking through mud when I was a child. The damp, thick dirt blanketed my feet, in between my toes. It was a little gross but comforting just the same.

I have been reminded of my childhood many times in the last couple of weeks. The ingenuity, the creativity and the unbounding imagination we had at that time. It was all great until we had to grow up. Why?

I understand the need for responsibility, the need to grow in many directions and learn from experience. However, we are asked to give up our childish imaginations and that is truly a shame. It's that imagination that allows us to be innovative.

Last night I was watching a biography on Johnny Depp and was reminded that we can keep our imaginations going even though we have to be responsible. We can do this, maintain families and grow old doing this. And we should never be ridiculed because of it.

Anyway, I think that is what I am going to make the focus of this blog. The celebration of imagination. And the holding on to that which makes life an adventure...
